That’s the motto of the giant chicken processing plant, Chaco Chicken,. But recently there have been signs of “fowl” play at the plant.
When FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are called in to investigate, they discover that no one in the town ever seems to age.
Scully is determined to uncover the truth — but if she’s not careful, she might lose her head over Mr. Chaco’s grisly recipe.
From Chapter Nine:
The deputies spent the rest of the afternoon dragging the river, and they hauled up several more nets full of bones as the day progressed.
As they were brought up, the bones were immediately brought to the county morgue and dumped unceremoniously in the middle of the forensics-lab floor. In a short time the pile had grown into a grisly mound. Scully spent the afternoon sorting through the bones, separating them into individual bodies.
As Mulder reentered the lab, he saw Scully sitting by one small pile of bones on the floor. In front of her was a partial rib cage, part of a pelvis, and a forearm. Mulder looked around the room at the neatly organized, partially reconstructed skeletons. Then he noticed that, of all the bones that had been found on the bottom of the river, there were no skulls among them…
